It’s no laughing matter that facebook tend to do things to their homepage without telling us, even slight changes.. the users go nuts and create groups to bring back the old facebook.. HAR HAR HAR.
So the other day my mate was on Facebook and he said that “Facebook changed their site again”.. Me being a UI whore had to take a look at what was new.. and surprise surprise it seemed that the Designers have been busy with themselves:
Remember to right click the image and save it to view it in high quality
Looking so much better right? eh.. even if 10% of the community will adore this change I bet the other 90% will create/ Join their stupid “Bring back the old Facebook” Groups.
Now the real question is: Why has only my friends account got the new Refresh? and are there other users who got it also? I have tried the following:
http://new.facebook.com – and it seems to give me a strange 404.
I am being Generous and am giving away 31 Google wave invites..
First off what Is Google Wave?
Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation
and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
What is a wave?

A wave is equal parts conversation and document.
People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos and more.
A wave is shared.
Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.
A wave is live.
With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.

Introducing ShortcutKey2URL!
This extension allows open URL with the shortcut key.
“startup key (default Ctrl + Q )”->” key corresponding to each URL” of the corresponding URL.
Three kinds of the following can be specified for a method of opening URL, and a flexible setting according to each usage is possible.
- Open current active tab
- Open new tab
- If same URL (agreement forward) already exists, the tab is activated. It opens as a new tab in case of not being.
The registration of URL can be easily registered by pressing the icon of ShortcutKey2URL that exists in the right of the address bar with the page that wants to register opened.
Simple hmm? once you add all your sites.. and press the shortcut key (ctrl+Q) you will be presented with something that looks like this:

Trick ‘r Treat
Rating:

It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten. Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick. Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem… the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety-human and otherwise-try to survive the scariest night of the year.

District 9
Rating:

In 1990, a massive star ship bearing a bedraggled alien population, nicknamed “The Prawns,” appeared over Johannesburg, South Africa. Twenty years later, the initial welcome by the human population has faded. The refugee camp where the aliens were located has deteriorated into a militarized ghetto called District 9, where they are confined and exploited in squalor. In 2010, the munitions corporation, Multi-National United, is contracted to forcibly evict the population with operative Wikus van der Merwe in charge. In this operation, Wikus is exposed to a strange alien chemical and must rely on the help of his only two new ‘Prawn’ friends.
Fringe

The FBI teams up with a formerly-institutionalized scientist – who was performing experiments on the fringe of real science – and his son to investigate weird crimes that are seemingly part of a larger pattern, and may be connected with a global company called massive Dynamics.

Currently Not Impressed with:
- Heroes – Show is Duller than ever, has too much talking and not enough action... Slowly losing hope in this show.
- FlashForward – I am still not so keen on this show.. you can Blame ABC for that.
- Smallville – The Season Return Episode was slightly boring, Episode 2 Was okay and 3 seemed to be ripoff of 28 Days later.
